NemaFence® Phasma – efficient curative control of soil-dwelling slugs
How does NemaFence® Phasma control slugs?
- Parasitic nematodes for effective slug control – Phasmarhabditis californica controls slugs and small snail species living in the growing medium. The nematodes enter the host and kill it within 24 to 48 hours.

When should you apply NemaFence® Phasma?
- Start at the first signs of slugs – apply the product as soon as slugs are detected.
- Also suitable for preventative use – apply during high-risk periods or in sensitive crops to create a protective barrier around the crop.
- Repeat applications when needed – make three applications with an interval of 2 to 6 weeks, depending on pest pressure.
How do you apply NemaFence® Phasma?
- Apply the nematodes with water – dissolve the entire contents of the package in water and keep the suspension well agitated during application.
- Keep the soil moist – maintain adequate soil moisture during treatment and for at least two weeks afterwards.
- Avoid direct sunlight – apply preferably in the evening or under cloudy conditions for optimum performance.
Under which conditions should you use NemaFence® Phasma?
- Optimum performance between 5°C and 30°C (41°F to 86°F) – the best results are achieved at a soil temperature of around 15°C (59°F).
- Use suitable application equipment – do not exceed 20 bar spray pressure, apply as a drench, and avoid use on heavy clay, waterlogged or frozen soils.
