Aphi-Mix-System - for challenging aphid situations

How does Aphi-Mix-System control aphids?

  • Broad-spectrum control – contains four species of parasitic wasps that together target a wide range of large and small aphid species.
  • No precise identification required – each parasitic wasp targets different aphid species, making accurate aphid identification unnecessary.
  • Effective control – female wasps lay their eggs inside aphids. The larvae develop within the host, eventually killing it.
  • Ideal for mixed aphid populations – particularly suitable when multiple aphid species are present or when the aphid species cannot be identified.
  • Preventative and curative – provides reliable aphid control in sensitive crops, mixed crops and crops with mixed aphid populations.

When should you introduce Aphi-Mix-System?

  • Start preventatively – introduce Aphi-Mix-System early to keep aphid populations under control.
  • Increase the dosage when aphids appear – adjust the release rate according to pest density.
  • Combine for curative control – for existing infestations, combine with Aphidoletes-System or Chrysopa-System. Severe infestations can also be tackled with Adalia-System.

How do you release Aphi-Mix-System?

  • Mix gently – carefully rotate the bottle horizontally to ensure an even distribution of the mummies.
  • Apply throughout the crop – sprinkle the contents onto horizontal leaves or use Bio-Boxes suspended in the crop.
  • Keep off the soil – never place the mummies directly onto the soil or growing substrate.
  • Leave undisturbed – ensure the material remains dry and is not moved from its release site for at least a few days.

Under which conditions should you use Aphi-Mix-System?

  • Ideal for mixed aphid populations – use Aphi-Mix-System when several aphid species are present or when the aphid species cannot be identified.
  • Optimal conditions – best results are achieved at temperatures between 18°C and 22°C (64-72°F) with a relative humidity of 60-80%.
  • Use above 10°C (50°F) – Aphi-Mix-System is recommended for use at temperatures above 10°C (50°F). Efficacy decreases at temperatures above 30°C (86°F).
