Jonas Hipólito President of BIOTROP and BioWorks
The president of BIOTROP, Jonas Hipólito, has been named among the honorees in the Industry category of the 100 Most Influential in Agribusiness 2026 Award, organized by the Grupo Mídia. The award recognizes leaders who contribute to the development of Brazilian agribusiness and influence the direction of the sector.
A co-founder of BIOTROP, Jonas assumed the presidency in January 2025, succeeding the company’s founder, Antonio Carlos Zem. Since then, BIOTROP has advanced its strategy of international expansion and strengthened its global presence in the biological solutions market. Recent milestones include the incorporation of the BioWorks division of the BioFirst Group in the United States, as well as the company’s first international forum on biologicals held in Brussels, Belgium.
An agronomist graduated from ESALQ/USP, one of the most prestigious agricultural schools in Latin America, Jonas Hipólito also holds executive education from Harvard Business School and is a member of YPO, a global community that brings together young business leaders.
The 100 Most Influential in Agribusiness 2026 Award ceremony will take place on April 28 at the Theatro Pedro II, in Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo.
